The beginning of the passion for the extraordinary

Ludmila Kreuz and H.-Heinrich Höper founded the company “DELTA Fleisch” in 1989. At the traditional Hamburg slaughterhouse, six employees were responsible for the distribution and the supply of meat to several dozens of customers of the North German wholesale trade.

In the beginning, the product range consisted of meat and was already expanded in a short time to sausage and cheese products, as well as antipasti.The steadily growing demand for fish has increased in the coming years and with the construction of a new deep-freeze plant, DELTA was able to offer in addition to fish products, also frozen products.

With the desire for individuality, the DELTA production kitchen was created and thus the company’s own manufactory for the portioning and refinement of exclusive recipes. Due to the increase in the number of suppliers represented worldwide, DELTA was able to the expansion of the product range with convenience products to counteract the change in requirements.

One year after the company was founded, the first DELTA truck was purchased. The move to Hall D of the Hamburg slaughterhouse took place. In these halls, DELTA still has its headquarters today.

This was followed by the first DELTA trade fair presentation at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre
